Book Clubs

2025-2026 Selections Coming Soon

Book Clubs are a great way for learners to explore books with a group without the commitment of the longer classes with more frequent meetings. Most Book Clubs meet once a month for a live discussion at the end and have supporting materials and discussion boards throughout the month.

Guided Classes

These classes have a specific start and end date and deadlines for assignments. Learners receive individual feedback in the form of videos and comments. The instructor is also available to answer questions about assignments and materials. There are no live meetings. (This list includes classes with openings available and those with wait lists. Classes marked with * have Sliding Fee Scale pricing and are eligible for Scholarships.

Live Classes

These classes have a specific start and end date and deadlines for assignments. Learners receive individual feedback in the form of videos and comments. The instructor is also available to answer questions about assignments and materials. Class meets live periodically (ranging from weekly to monthly depending on the class). (This list includes classes with openings available and those with wait lists. Self-Paced Classes

These classes can be started anytime and completed at any pace. You can also use them for multiple learners within the same household, and you maintain access to them to save and use again. These classes are hosted on Teachable, and you can either download and print materials or access them virtually. Facilitators (parents or tutors, usually) give feedback on written assignments using the included rubrics and feedback guidance.


Self-Paced Book Clubs

These classes can be started anytime and completed at any pace. You can also use them for multiple learners within the same household, and you maintain access to them to save and use again. Book Clubs include Reading Guides, writing activities, supplemental resources, and Final Projects. Families can do as much or as little as they’d like to make the class work for their needs.
