[Learner] and I both appreciated the detailed, constructive feedback on rough drafts. Expectations were clear, both through explanations given and through the use of rubrics. As a parent, I like that Michelle's feedback was positive and always included advice to make improvements. (In the past, [Learner] has experienced feedback on written work that was all "this is great" without any help to grow his writing further. I'm so glad this was not the case with this class!) Having the feedback delivered over audio as well as written was also very helpful. Thank you!"

Thank you so much for this amazing class, Dr. Michelle! Classic literature has always been intimidating for me (and many other students in general), but I really appreciate your approach to it. Analyzing what is considered "literary canon" but also questioning *why* it is considered literary canon was an especially interesting part of the class. 🙂

I'd just like to say that this was a good class to take, and as someone who has a list of educational horror stories, this semester was a breath of fresh air where I felt comfortable and more confident in my learning space. The content opened my eyes and truly educated me on not only classic literature and their adaptations, but the purposes and principles surrounding them that have shaped our society today. I believe it's important for everyone to gain something after reading a text or watching a film, and I know I most certainly did.

Michelle really seems to meet the student where they are at and helps them grow from that space. My daughter, who has resisted feedback, really liked collaborating with Michelle and found the video feedback method to be just right for her needs.

I really appreciate how organized the class was, how clear the expectations and guidelines were and how professional and encouraging the feedback delivery was.

Thank you so much for making this class as amazing as it was! I had SUCH a fun time being able to participate, and the way you make even the project choices fun is truly a skill! You were extremely inclusive and respectful, funny and creative, and although Monday is the worst day of the week, this class had me looking forward to it every time by the very first meeting! I am endlessly grateful to have gotten to enroll in this class!
